Ethical Sourcing & Material Preparation

We are deeply intentional about how these sacred materials are sourced.
  • Buffalo are free-ranging across western states, moving through public and private lands. Regulated permits are granted for ethical harvesting.
  • Elk are responsibly hunted and valued for both their meat and hide.
  • Cow hides come from domesticated farm animals.
  • Horse hides are sourced from horses that have passed naturally.
In all cases, every effort is made to respectfully utilize the full animal. Materials are procured through a Native-owned company that operates with sustainability, reverence, and humane practices.
